Real Wedding: Lexi & Scott – Romantic Oakville Harbour Wedding
Lexi and Scott are one of our lovely full planning and design couple’s we have had the pleasure of working with this wedding season. The couple chose the Harbour Banquet & Conference Centre in Oakville, overlooking the waterfront, and the adjacent Bronte Park Gazebo to host their wedding. After an unpredictable year of weather, the weather gods were definitely on our side on this July day, as Scott and Lexi’s wedding fell on a gorgeous Summer day beaming with sunshine.
Lexi envisioned a wedding that felt romantic, with elegant and personal touches. She chose a neutral colour palette of white and metallics, accented with florals in rich tones, along with greenery and seasonal fruit mixed into the guest table arrangements. The floral designs we created with Cedar & Stone were some of my all time favourites!
The reception was transformed with a drapery backdrop, white sequin linens, lace overlays and a white dance floor decal with the couple’s wedding monogram. As a fun nod to the couple’s last name, their sweet table was complete with a “Duncan” Donuts display.
Guests were treated to the music of a band that have played a number of their family events and milestones which turned out to be an excellent decision as the dance floor was packed until the very end!
Getting to know these two and their wonderful families made my job as their wedding planner extra sweet, and I’m so happy to have been a part of this day.
