Real Wedding: Megan & Josh – Rustic Romance at Kortright Conservation Centre

Megan & Josh. Another amazing couple whose wedding planning journey we’ve been so lucky to have been a part of. We met them in January of 2016 and were with them every step of the way from venue search, to designing their day, and selecting the amazing team of vendors that brought the vision to life on September 23, 2017.

Megan & Josh are a couple that love the outdoors, and hiking with their dogs. In fact, Josh proposed on a Winter’s day at Rockwood Conservation, so they knew their venue would need to be reflective of nature and include rustic touches.

What we found in Kortright Conservation Centre was nothing short of a perfect fit for them. From a gorgeous and heartfelt ceremony surrounded by a cathedral of trees, cocktails in a glass house, to dancing under the stars with string lights twinkling above them, this venue was truly magical. We also can’t say enough about Kortright’s staff – they are top notch and were a pleasure to work with throughout the process.

A favourite touch was the donut and cupcake wall Megan & Josh trusted us to design and execute with the help of some of our lovely vendor friends. The 6 x 8 foot wall was definitely a showstopper, and personal as it included the hand-painted monogram by the groom’s cousin that we used throughout the wedding day.
