One of the most overwhelming parts of planning a wedding for me was simply that I've never planned one before and didn't think a momentous life event was the best time for me to trial and error. My (now) husband and I envisioned our wedding day to be intimate and personable, free to enjoy the small moments with each other and our guests to the fullest. I recognized early on that we couldn't achieve this vision without help. I was at a loss for how to tie my colourful skirt (originally meant for a summer elopement) in with a cozy winter theme. I didn't want to deal with day-of logistics or bother a family member or friend to decorate the venue. There was the anxiety of organizing a special event around the ever changing pandemic restrictions. And finally, I hadn't a clue as to how to find reputable venders for all the intricate details I wanted to include on the day. The pressure was on, so we decided to hire Caryn to create our wedding design and coordinate the event. Putting our trust in Caryn, who's a seasoned pro and has impeccable taste, was the best decision we could have made. Like a magician, she took all my previously listed anxieties and stresses and made them disappear!

From our initial communication, Caryn was extremely responsive and professional, which established a strong sense of trust for us.

She took my list of (what felt like) random ideas and a picture of my dress, and created a vision for our day that was stunning, intimate and exactly the aesthetic that we wanted.

Caryn helped us schedule the day, vision-boarded the décor, suggested and contacted vendors on our behalf, reviewed invoices, provided advice, coordinated the delivery and arrival of venders day-of, and decorated the venue. She is very personable and approachable, so I never hesitated to reach out whenever I had questions. During the constant flux of changing restriction rules (our venue room changed twice within two weeks when seating capacity was at 50%), Caryn kept me calm and made us feel in control the whole time. For every doubt or worry I expressed, she had suggestions and assurances ready, ebbing and flowing around the challenges with ease. This is the type of person you need when you're making 10 decisions a day!

After all the ups and downs that the pandemic brought, our wedding day finally came and we can honestly say we couldn't have enjoyed the experience to the level we did without Caryn's diligent planning and flawless design execution. I cannot say enough good things about As You Wish Weddings!!! After speaking to several potential wedding planners, I knew Caryn was the best! Before we had her on board, we struggled with decisions, budget planning, design elements, etc. Caryn was able to alleviate every single anxiety/stress over the wedding right from the beginning. She took some loose/vague design ideas, and transitioned them into a stunning and creative design plan that came together perfectly on the day of the wedding. In addition to many in-person meetings, Caryn was always quickly available to respond to any of my questions, concerns, or ideas via phone and email. Furthermore, she was incredibly patient and kind with me throughout the entire process as I asked a million questions and frequently changed my mind.

She was always ready to offer advice and direction, while also being incredibly conscientious about making this day unique and special to me and my husband. I really appreciated that Caryn pulled me into decisions as needed, but also managed many of the less fun, nitty-gritty details without having me in the middle of it - this really helped to make the planning process fun and exciting rather than tedious. She recommended incredible vendors, and even put a lot of time and effort into helping us find an officiant who could conduct a bilingual ceremony. When the day arrived, everything was perfect and stress-free, and we know we could not have done it without Caryn! Hiring As You Wish Weddings was absolutely one of the best investments we made in our wedding!!
